Top Point Pleasant Structure


The Ordovician Point Pleasant/Utica Shale is still in its early phase of development, but recent production and reported IP results give an early indication that this reservoir may rival the Marcellus in quality and size of reserves.

The oil & wet gas portion of the play has been the primary target area for much of the drilling until recently, with 91% (835) of the total 915 productive wells targeting the liquids-rich Utica as of 2/15/15. Recent world-class initial production rates have been announced in the dry gas portion of the play, opening up large new areas for potentially economic production levels and include:
